Q:  Do you offer tastings? How many people can I bring with me?

A. Yes, we offer one complimentary tasting  and consultation per event for you and a guest. Our consultation room can accommodate a total of four guests. Arrangements must be made in advance for more than two so we are sure to have enough cake for your guests!

Q. Is there a charge for the consultation? How long can we expect to be there?

A. There is no fee for tastings. An hour is set-aside for each client, which has proven to be ample time to both design and taste our cakes. Often, appointments are scheduled before and after yours so please plan to be on time so we have a full hour.

**Please keep in mind that cake samples are prepared specifically for your appointment. We ask for the courtesy of 48 hours notice if your appointment needs to be rescheduled. Cancellations without the appropriate notice will be subject to a fee of $25 in order to rebook the appointment.

Q. What do I need to bring to our appointment?

A. It is helpful to have made venue, color and floral decisions prior to our meeting so we have that information available. Additionally, any element from your event that you feel we can draw inspiration from is great to bring as well. Pictures of your dress, venue, flowers, your invitations or design motif, a monogram, color swatches it can all be helpful.

Q. What Can I Expect To Pay For A Wedding Cake? Do you have a price list?

A. We do not have a general price list because each cake is a one-of-a-kind design.

That said, each cake is priced based upon your unique cake, filling, and decorative options in order to provide you with the best price for your cake. We use a custom pricing template in order to maintain consistency in pricing.

Before you arrive for your consultation, it is helpful to have a budget in mind for what you would like to spend on your cake. This will give us a better sense of what we can design for you.

Q. What is your delivery area? What do you charge for delivery?

A. Our delivery area is primarily within the Brazos Valley. However, we are willing to travel anywhere our cakes can safely be delivered so please contact us to inquire about a specific location.

Delivery and set up fees are additional and are calculated at an hourly rate – round-trip.

Q. Do you ship your cakes?

A. No, due to the delicate nature of our cakes we do not ship.

Q. Do I have to make a deposit to reserve my wedding date? If so, how much is it and can I get a refund, if necessary?

A. Yes, we require a 25 percent retainer to reserve your wedding date on our calendar. We will base your retainer on the total estimated amount at the time you place your order. All retainers are date specific and non-refundable.

Q. I am not ready to make design decisions yet but I want to reserve our date so you don’t get booked up, is that possible?

A. Yes. You may reserve your date with a $150 retainer. The $150 retainer will be deducted from the total amount. Final arrangements must be made at least 6 weeks prior to your event. Again, all retainers are date specific and non-refundable.

Q. How far in advance should I order a cake?

A. For larger cakes (serving 75+) we recommend a minimum of one month but for weddings we suggest a minimum of six months to one year.

We definitely attempt to accommodate last minute requests if our schedule allows. Please call or email to find out our availability for your particular date.

 Q. Do you make individual cakes, cupcakes and decorated cookies?

A. Yes. We do custom designed cupcakes, starting at $6 per person. Individual cakes start at $35 each for one tier. Cookies start at $6 – including packaging for favors. Please contact us for additional information.

Q. Can I get chocolates on my cake or as favors?

A. Yes. We will coordinate chocolates to be placed on your cake or packaged as wedding favors. We can also provide you with personalized/monogrammed chocolates.

Custom chocolate centerpieces and/or showpieces are also available.

Q. Do you have a catalog or brochure?

A. We do not have a brochure other than our website. Each cake is custom designed so our website serves mainly as a portfolio for you to see previous work. If you would like to schedule a consultation you will then have the opportunity to view our complete portfolio.

Q:  If I want fresh flowers on my cake how can that be arranged?

A:  Yes, we can recommend a florist in town or you may choose your own. Either way, the florist will be in charge of placing the flowers on the cake after our delivery window, which is typically an hour prior to your event.

Q:  Do you make sugar free, dairy free, vegan, or gluten free cakes? Do you use organic ingredients?

A:  We are willing to accommodate most dietary restrictions, but we do require at least 2 months advanced noticed.

All of our ingredients are natural, of the highest quality and made from scratch, which is one of the reasons our pricing tends to be just a bit higher than our competitors. Locally sourced, organic ingredients are definitely used whenever possible. We truly believe that ingredients really do make all the difference and are committed to using only the finest products available.
